NRA Basic Pistol
UNDER CONSTRUCTION: This program is currently under construction and will be undergoing several changes. Perfect for newcomers to the shooting sport or those looking to refresh their firearms knowledge. This course is at least 8-hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and/or semi-automatic pistols. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination, and course completion certificate. TDI Basic Concealed Carry Course
TDI's own Basic Concealed Carry Course designed to meet all educational requirements to apply for a concealed carry permit in Colorado. This course is about 4 hours long and is classroom based. The TDI Concealed Carry Course is not endorsed by the NRA. This course covers basic pistol safety, handling, operation and Colorado concealed carry laws. Upon completion of this course, participants are awarded a certificate that satisfies all Colorado training prerequisites for obtaining your concealed carry permit. NRA First Steps Pistol
UNDER CONSTRUCTION: This program is currently under construction and will be undergoing several changes. The perfect firearms introduction course! NRA FIRST Steps Pistol is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to one specific pistol action type for classes of four or fewer students. This course is at least three hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot a specific pistol action type. Students will learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; the particular pistol model parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, FIRST Steps Course completion certificate. TDI Advanced Concealed Carry Course and Workshop
TDI's own Advanced Concealed Carry Course and Workshop is designed to meet all educational requirements to apply for a concealed carry permit in Colorado. This course is about 5 hours long and is classroom based. The TDI Advanced Concealed Carry Course and Workshop is not endorsed by the NRA. This course covers basic pistol safety, handling, operation, Colorado concealed carry laws, and hands on grip, position and concealment practice. In-depth concealment, law and reciprocity workshops and round table style discussions are included in this course. Upon completion of this course, participants are awarded a certificate that satisfies all Colorado training prerequisites for obtaining your concealed carry permit.
TDI CCW Recertification
Did you let your CCW Permit lapse? Forget to renew? Move from another state and need or want a Colorado Permit? Then the TDI CCW Recertification Class is your fastest and most affordable option to get a new permit! This class takes about 30 minutes and covers all safety and Colorado concealed carry laws. The student must then pass a small live fire course. Upon completion of this course, participants are awarded a certificate that satisfies all Colorado training prerequisites for obtaining your concealed carry permit. All participants of this class MUST have a previously issued CCW permit or a certificate from a previous handgun training class.
